5th June 1948 – 23rd March 2022
Beloved wife of the late Kenneth, much loved sister of Carole (deceased) and Gay, sister-in-law of Martin, step-mum of Jayne and Alan, auntie of Kitty, Holly, Joe and Jonathan, keeper of Athena the cat and much loved friend, teacher and good neighbour.
Rachel was a retired lecturer in Psychology and Sociology at Manchester Metropolitan University. She studied and taught philosophy with the School of Economic Science and in later years taught mindfulness meditation and philosophy through the U3A.
