Pricing for funerals in Todmorden and Calderdale

A funeral service in our beautiful home in Todmorden, followed by a committal at a local crematorium which you don’t attend. This is becoming an increasingly popular way of having a funeral. The hall space can be decorated as you wish and you have as much time as you need rather than being restricted by a short slot at the crematorium. It can happen on a weekday, weekend or evening.

Included in the fee of £3,000:

• Meeting with you at the funeral home, your home or by zoom
• Our guidance from the first phone call until after he funeral
• Taking your loved one in to our care within a 20 mile distance
• Washing, dressing and care of your loved one by female staff. You might want to be involved in this
• Opportunity to visit your loved one at the funeral home by appointment
• A cardboard or traditional wood veneer coffin (other options available)
• Transport
• All pall bearing staff
• Crematorium fee
• Doctor’s certificate
• A non-religious celebrant or minister
• A dedicated webpage with details of the funeral for you to share with family and friends

Possible discounts;
If you didn’t feel a need to visit your loved one at our funeral home there would be a discount of £90

Possible additional costs;
If you had over 30 guests (up to 100) there would be an additional cost of £200.

If you wanted a willow coffin instead of a cardboard or wood veneer, there would be an additional cost of £200.

If you wanted to attend the crematorium straight after the service in our hall there would be additional costs for hearse, staff and slightly higher crematorium fee adding up to £730.

£1,795 including disbursements

This example funeral is the most economical option available. A direct cremation means that no family or friends attend the crematorium. Included in the fee of £1,795

This example funeral is for a simple funeral service at Rochdale or Burnley Crematorium where we meet you at the crematorium.

• Meeting with you at the funeral home, your home or by zoom

• Taking your loved one in to our care within a 20 mile distance
• Washing, dressing and care of your loved one by female staff. You might want to be involved in this
• Opportunities to visit your loved one at the funeral home by appointment

• A traditional black hearse that will meet at the crematorium
• Four of our staff to carry the coffin or support for you to do this yourselves
• A dedicated webpage with details of the funeral for you to share with family and friends

This example funeral is for a graveside service at the tranquil natural burial site West Pennine Remembrance Park. We would use a Fair Trade bamboo coffin and have a graveside non-religious service in a beautiful natural setting.

Included in the our main service charge of £2,155:

• Meeting with you at the funeral home, your home or by zoom
• Our guidance from the first phone call until after he funeral
• Taking your loved one in to our care within a 20 mile distance
• Washing, dressing and care of your loved one by female staff. You might want to be involved in this
• Opportunities to visit your loved one at the funeral home by appointment
• A Fair Trade Bamboo coffin
• Funeral transport to meet at the cemetery
• Your loved one’s coffin in place over the grave before you gather
• Funeral staff
• A dedicated webpage with details of the funeral for you to share with family and friends

• New single grave fee and gravedigger
• A non-religious celebrant or minister

• If you would like to lead the service yourselves there is a discount of £220

• Taking your loved one in to our care outside of normal working hours (normal working hours being Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) £180

• If you wanted to have the service at our hall in Todmorden before the service for up to 30 guests there would be an additional cost of £200
• If you wanted to have the service at our hall in Todmorden before the service for up to 30 guests there would be an additional cost of £400
• If you wanted a willow coffin instead of a bamboo one there would be an additional cost of £50
• If you wanted to leave from home with a limousine there would be an additional cost of £400

This example funeral would start at your home with the hearse and limousine. The coffin would be a good quality light oak veneer (other options available). We would then have a service at St.Mary’s Church, Todmorden and afterwards go to St.Peter’s Churchyard in Walsden for the burial in a new grave. The burial would be in a separate location to St.Mary’s Church as their churchyard has no new graves. We would then take you to your reception.
